New Year - New Opportunities for RCLA Jaguars

Greetings RCLA Families,

We have been extremely busy at RCLA. Students are selecting classes for the 2022-2023 school year, the senior class is fundraising for senior activities such as Prom and Grad Night. Our basketball teams, both girls and boys are practicing and playing. They are doing really well.

Priority registration is in full swing. Please be sure to register your current students for next year and enroll your younger students that are ready for ninth grade.

If you have family and/or friends who will have a student that will be entering ninth grade or is looking to transfer we hope you will recommend RCLA to them. All are welcome. Please connect with Mr. Martin Farfan for details:

Your scholar's health and safety are our number one priority at RCLA. From there, daily attendance and being in class assures your student will receive a world-class education preparing them for life after graduation.

As always, please reach out to me with questions and/or ideas for how we may better serve you, your family, and our community!

With gratitude.

Ms. Austin

RCLA attendance had been slipping week after week. However, good news today from Mr. Monroy!

He reports the RCLA has been the only TFHE school to increase attendance for the last two weeks, back to back!

Attending school is the #1-factor impacting achievement. When students attend school, go to class, and stay in class - they learn and achieve.

Keep up the great work in attendance Jaguars!

Senior Scholarships

Hello Seniors,

I hope your week is going well! I am forwarding you a list of scholarships that you can look through and work on. Please make sure to take advantage to apply for these scholarships! Some of the scholarships do not even require an essay or GPA requirement, so it is crucial that you take your time to get free money.

At the bare minimum, please apply to the LEAF Scholarship (http://tinyurl.com/2023LEAFscholarship), Abby Sobrato Scholarship (https://www.siliconvalleycf.org/scholarships/the-abby-sobrato-scholarship), and Peninsula College Fund Scholarship (https://tinyurl.com/pcf2023).

Please let me know if you have any questions or if I can help you in any way.

Ms. Brigette

Attendance Matters - Excessive Absences Affect Education, Graduation and Senior Activities

Enero 21, 2023

Estimado estudiante y familia,

Sra. Austin

Roberto Cruz Leadership Academy

Poliza de asistencia
