Career Description:

An environmental engineer is responsible to research, design, and prevent environmental hazards using various engineering disciplines.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with environmental scientists, planners, hazardous waste technicians, engineers, and other specialists, and experts in law and business to address environmental problems.
  • Inspect industrial or municipal facilities to ensure their effectiveness and that they comply with environmental regulations
  • Inform company employees and others of environmental issues
  • Provide technical support for environmental remediation

  • Four-year bachelor's degree
  • Several years of work-related experience and on-the-job training
  • Educational disciplines: Engineering- Environmental Health Engineering
  • Background of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.(STEM)

Salary Wage Potential:

  • $38.01 hourly, $79,050 annual
