This is also the final day for our food drive. Special friends and other adults are encouraged to bring non-perishable food to school that day for the offering. The food will go to St. Marks and St Joe Hessen Cassell food banks as has been the case in the past.
One change coming this year is that when you send in your lunch order (for the adults. Kids will be as normal), you will be issued a lunch ticket that you will pick up after chapel that morning. You will need to show that ticket to get your lunch.
At this time, the deadline to send in lunch orders for the adults will be Friday, November 9th. in the morning. Lunch tickets will not be available after that date. That doesn't mean other special friends can't come, it just means they will not be able to eat lunch unless it was ordered ahead of time. Watch for more details to follow in the coming weeks.
Volunteering at SJE
Thank you to all who have already earned volunteer hours this school year. I know many more are still working towards them.
Please note that your service hours are now being entered in Renweb and can be found on the Parentsweb page on the right side. Click on your name and then the "service hours" tab and you will see your total hours. Each parent has their own tab to look at.
Also, note that by in large I have only entered those hours that are complete as of the end of the 1st quarter or volunteer positions that run all school year with fixed hours like school board etc. Room parent or anything yet coming up is not in there yet because there are no fixed hours.
As of 10/11, 25 families have completed the appropriate number of hours needed for their family and another 29 have not yet accumulated any volunteer hours. Please note the info in bold below and see where you might be able to help/volunteer.
**Please note that your volunteer hours this year (18-19) will reduce or eliminate up to $400 of the tuition increase/student set for the 19-20 school year.***
