WHAT'S HAPPENING
Process for Parent/Teacher Interviews- Phone call conversation
Parent/Teacher Interviews are intended for teachers to be available to report progress of the student and to provide professional advice and to make ourselves available for feedback from parents.
Parent/Teacher/Student Conferences will be held on Tuesday, October 19th – 5 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, October 21st from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
We will be using an online booking system, as in the past, to book conferences. Bookings will open up on, Thursday October 14th at 3:30 p.m.You will be able to book conferences for both timeslots. You will not be able to schedule any interviews before that time. Teachers will be conducting interviews via phone call and not in person.
You will need to enter your son’s/daughter’s name, the class, and teacher with which you would like to schedule a conference. You are limited to one conference time per teacher. If your son/daughter has a particular teacher for more than one subject, please just book one 10 minute time slot. If you need more time with a teacher, please arrange a separate phone call at a later date.
Please enter an e-mail address to receive confirmation of your 8 minute interview. The teacher will phone you close to the start of your interview time. Interviews will last 8 minutes, with a 2 minute transition for teachers to prepare for the next appointment.
You will also be prompted to provide a telephone number that you can be reached at during your time slot.
Some teachers may choose to do virtual meetings and they will be sending out emails to those families once the booking schedule is complete.

Pay School Fees Online!
School fee information for the 2021-22 school year is now posted on the PowerSchool Parent Portal. All fees are due within 30 days of being posted. To access your fee information, simply log in to the PowerSchool Parent Portal and go to “Student Fees.” There you can view your fees and pay them online using Visa, MasterCard or debit card—when available from your financial institution.
Don’t forget to also log in to the PowerSchool Parent Portal regularly throughout the year. Fees are often added to your child’s account to cover the cost of various school activities such as field trips, class projects, extracurricular activities fees and more.
If circumstances exist where you are unable to pay your fees, you can apply to have fees waived by submitting an Application for a Waiver of Fees. The application deadline is Dec. 15, 2021.
For more information about school fees, waivers and payment deadlines, visit www.eips.ca/schools/fees and www.ardrossan.ca/about/fees. Alternatively, contact Kim Walsh at Ardrossan Jr. Sr. High at 780-922-2228.
