Monthly Newsletter, May 2023
As we head towards the end of the school year, we want to take a moment to thank our families for their support this year. We hope you will be able to join us for some of the end-of-year fun as we celebrate our students' growth and readiness to move forward in their education. Please note the construction updates below so you will know what to expect for your visit.

CES Renovation/Construction Updates
Renovations are underway and it's been exciting to watch the progress! Beginning after school Wednesday, May 3rd, evening work will begin on our hallways, media center, and one set of bathrooms. Please be patient with us this year as you visit us for class parties and awards, as we will be actively packing and under construction between now and then. Gym renovations are also continuing so we've included a few reminders:
- Students should wear clothing and shoes appropriate to participate in PE outdoors.
- Students should bring a water bottle to PE. (All students were given a STEAM water bottle during our Career Week they can use for this!)
**In the case of inclement weather, PE classes will meet in students’ classrooms, and our PE teachers will have an alternative lesson for our students.
Safety is our number one priority during this process. We are working closely with the construction team as well as the Cartersville police department to keep our teachers and SROs informed. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me via phone at 770-382-0983 or by e-mail at bbryant@cartersvilleschools.org.
