Principal's Message

There is a lot going on next week! We kick off the week with Halloween which is always fun. The parade will begin at 2:45 and the parties will take place in the classrooms following the parade. The parade will be inside and outside, along the front and side of the school.

Next week we will also have our Book Fair. For your shopping convenience, our library staff has graciously scheduled 2 evenings for you to have a choice of when you want to come to GRE to shop the Book Fair. The family shopping nights will be Tuesday, Nov. 1 and Wednesday, Nov. 2 from 5:30-7:00.

In addition to Halloween and the Book Fair, we will also have our FOOD DRIVE to benefit families through BLAS. The Food Drive will be Nov. 1-10. Please see below in our newsletter for a list of recommended items to donate. Students enjoy seeing if we can get enough donations to make a train all the way around the school so thank you in advance for your donations and for helping families in need.

Thanks to all who participated in the fun spirit week for Red Ribbon Week this week! Many of our GRE staff members were able to get together for a quick picture in our red/white/blue this morning!

CHECK THIS OUT!

Our first graders had such a cool experience... They were each able to design a monster and then Mrs Suchy’s FACS class from BLMS did the sewing to make their monsters come to life and Mrs Hermreck’s creative writing class from BLMS wrote stories about the monsters! That is such an incredible collaborative effort!

5th grade music performance

THANK YOU to Mr. Wilburn and Mrs. Frazier for putting together such an amazing performance on Tuesday evening! Our 5th graders sure came to shine and knocked it out of the park with their final performance at GRE!
