Monthly MTSS Networking Meetings
Please join the Allegheny Intermediate Unit's Training and Consultation Team for this virtual training series
By networking with each other, each team member and leader will have the opportunity to learn strategies around removing barriers and reaching successful implementation outcomes.
Each virtual meeting is 1-hour long with a separate strand for both elementary and secondary buildings. During that time, MTSS TaC Facilitators will deliver content, keep everyone apprised of current IU and PA MTSS information, and allow for discussion among districts.

- Participants may pick which sessions to attend. Please register for the sessions you would like to participate in individually.
- Up to 9 Act 48 credits will be available -- 1 hour available per session
- The registration deadline is the day of for each session
Meeting 1: Let's Get It Started - Effective Team Meetings
Date: September 15th, 2022
Location: Virtual
Overview: During this session participants will be introduced to resources that best support running efficient and effective monthly team meetings, ensuring minutes are maximized

Meeting 2: Diagnostics
Location: Virtual
Overview: Participants will be introduced to the importance of diagnostic data in making informed decisions about meeting the needs of the students.

Meeting 3: Instructional Hierarchy / Tier 1.5 / Class-wide Intervention
Location: Virtual
Overview: Participants will explore the components of the learning hierarchy and class-wide intervention to meet the needs of all students.

Meeting 4: Universal Screeners / PVAAS Data
Date: December 12th, 2022
Location: Virtual
Overview: Participants will be introduced to a variety of universal screeners and learn how to select the best one(s) for their school.

Meeting 5: Structured Literacy and Mathematics Intervention (Elementary) / Secondary Literacy and Mathematics Intervention (Secondary)
Location: Virtual
Overview of Structured Literacy and Mathematics Intervention (Elementary): The term Structured Literacy (SL) is widely used, but what does it mean? On this date participants will explore features of the SL approach including the skills addressed and related activities. In this session, the use of evidence-based intervention and instructional strategies to meet the needs of struggling learners will be explored.

Meeting 6: Tier 2
Location: Virtual
Overview: During this session, participants will discuss the components of support at the tier 2 level and how to determine if students are responding effectively to that level of support.

Overview: During this session, participants will examine sample MTSS visions provided by other participating schools and get guided support on creating their own.
Meeting 8: Communications with Stakeholders

Overview: During this session, participants will discuss ways to leverage and improve communication with all stakeholders. Resources and strategies will be shared.
