Audubon Park School

Principal's Update #6

#OrlandoUnited Day at APS
Dear Audubon Park School Families,

If you've driven by the school on any day of the week, you've seen them. They might have been installing new sidewalks, driving forklifts or preparing the groundwork for landscaping. You've seen them in their neon vests working 7 days a week in this brutal Florida heat. We wanted to say THANK YOU to these hard-working men and women for dedicating their talents and efforts to finishing our school on time, so in conjunction with #OrlandoUnitedDay, A Day of Love and Kindness, we showed our appreciation to these tireless workers. Enjoy the video above.

What an amazing day it was! We called on our community and you showed up...with ice cold water, Gatorade, and best of all, handmade signs and cards for the crew. Students decorated each lunch container with a personal message and our APS Staff cooked lunch for 75 workers. Being grateful, lending a helping hand, becoming active citizens in our community and taking action are all part of who we will be as a school. Thanks for your support and Falcon Spirit!

I look forward to seeing you all on August 2nd for our Community Sneak Peek and for the Pep Rally that follows. As always, feel free to reach out to me with any questions or check our official school website for all important information like Summer Assignments/Supply Lists.

PTSA Grade Level Meet-Ups

Our PTSA is organizing playdates/meet-ups and get-togethers for grade levels. Check out the PTSA Audubon Park School Parents Teachers Students Facebook Page to catch one of these upcoming dates!

Falcon Notes

1. Register! Are you officially a Falcon? We hope so! If you know of anyone who is new to the area or thinking about registering, please encourage them to do so as soon as possible. Having an accurate count is vital to having all resources in place on Day 1. Register HERE.

2. Incoming 7th grade students are required to have a DTap immunization. Your medical professional must document the information on the Florida Form 680. Please submit this documentation to Mary Inman, School Registrar, before the start of the school year.

3. Get Ready for Soccer Season! It's the first APS sport to take the field. If your 6th - 8th grader wants to try out, all OCPS Physical forms and paperwork must be completed before tryouts, which will occur during the first weeks of school. You can find all paperwork HERE.

Do you have photos of the Original Audubon Park school?

Have you archived some AP photos of the original building or surrounding area? We are planning a photo display with a look back at the school. Please email if you are able to share a photo or two.
