BARBER BULLETIN
Pontiac Elementary Week of April 20-24
WELLNESS ACTIVITIES TO PROMOTE HEALTH AT PONTIAC
Daleen Ellis is the wellness chairperson for Pontiac Elementary and is required to attend district wellness meetings several times a year. There are certain criteria that each school must meet annually in regards to providing health and wellness initiatives. One of them is to provide activities in which all employees at your school participate. We are meeting this requirement by having time for fitness fun on Friday, April 24th, from 1:30-2:30. Please remember to bring appropriate athletic attire to change into for the afternoon's activities!
Wellness Committee plans activities for school staff:
Kyle Elkins' room = aerobics
Taryn Hixenbaugh = volleyball in PE room
S.Mandrell = kickball outside in field
Ellis = walk the track with your colleagues
Sign up for an activity by Thursday so our Wellness Committee members can plan ahead! All staff members are expected to participate!
A wellness luncheon will be for those who have signed up on the Google doc. It's not too late to participate in this lunch! Everyone that signs up is bringing a healthy dish.
Thank you for promoting and participating in a healthy working environment!

The Great American Clean Up
That's Right! Our Green Steps Team is asking our whole school to designate 9:00am-9:30am as a time to CLEAN UP PONTIAC on April 21! We hope all of our students will collect trash during this time in their designated areas - see Karyn Taylor if you aren't aware of your grade level area. We do not have gloves for all students so if this poses a problem, we certainly understand. Please invite parents and community members to join us at this time, too!
After collecting the trash, we will weigh the trash and announce this at the end of the day!
