"Notes" from Band
Week of: 5-28-18
Greetings from the Kalahari!
Several of our former PVMS band students performed with the CHUMS 8th grade bands and I are looking forward to seeing some of your students at this festival next year!

This Week's Lessons
This week's lessons are make-ups only for students who have an unexcused absence during the 4th quarter. I will also send an email out to anyone who has been scheduled for a make-up lesson this weekend.
Memorial Day Parade
Our parade is Monday! Here are reminders:
- students should plan on meeting out front at CHUMS at 9:15 AM for the Memorial Day Parade.
- Students are responsible for transporting their own instruments home so they will need to bring them home from Prairie View next Thursday as the building will not be unlocked over the weekend.
- Students should plan on wearing their band shirt, tennis shoes, and black pants. (this is a formal parade)
- The Sun Prairie Police Department has requested that students use the Library as a meeting location for pick-up after the parade. They would like all pickup traffic to proceed down Walker Way, continuing past the VFW building to turn left on Sun Field, and then turning right into the parking lot that connects to the library.

School Instrument Turn-in
Students will be turning in their school-owned instruments during the week of May 28. This means that all students should plan on bringing their home instruments back to school during this week. We will check out instruments for current 6th graders to use over the summer the following week, once we have reconciled, tested, and cleaned our inventory.
Current 7th grade students should arrange for a rental with Mr. Mesner at Cardinal Heights. (jrmesne@sunprairieschools.org)
