Important Announcements

Students returning Second Semester

We are excited to welcome some of our LOOLA students back to the building next week on Tuesday, January 19, and we continue to applaud the efforts of all of our virtual teachers and students! Here are a few important details:

Car tags with family numbers have been mailed to you. Even if your child is not a car rider, please hold onto these in case he/she is one day. Tags must be visibly displayed on the rear view mirror in the afternoon pick up line.

Students may be dropped off as early as 7 am and are marked tardy at 7:50 am. You may use the front loop or bus loop for AM drop off. Both breakfast and lunch are free for all students this year. School is dismissed at 2 pm, which is earlier than last year. Early dismissals and transportation changes are NOT made after 1:30 pm. ALL transportation changes must be called in to the office...notes and emails are often overlooked.

Your child should bring his/her device AND charger to school every day. On the first day, please have your child bring any workbooks or other materials used for virtual learning. Your child's teacher will communicate with you about any additional supplies that are needed. ALL children MUST wear a face covering to school, and they are encouraged to bring a water bottle since water fountains are not available this year.

On January 19 and 20, parents of returning students in kindergarten or first grade may walk your child to class. You will need to have a face covering.

Valentines Day

Students will be able to bring Valentines to exchange on Thursday, February 11 since this is our last face to face day before February 14. We are asking that students bring cards only (no candy or food due to Covid restrictions) and include all children in the class. Your child's teacher will send a list of students home.

Morning and Afternoon Car Line

  • You may use both lanes in the morning, just like we do in the afternoon. Begin the "zipper method" merging at the same point in line that the afternoon zipper merge starts.

  • You may drop off in the front car line OR the bus loop.

  • Always exit from cars along the sidewalk curb. At no time are children to exit from the left side of the vehicle.

  • Please have students ready when they reach the unloading zone. Use your time in the line to find a mask and get it on, gather book bag and lunch box, put on jackets, etc. The quicker our students exit vehicles, the quicker the line will move.

  • At no time should children be dropped off in the parking lot or sent across the crosswalk alone. An adult is required to walk the student ALL THE WAY ACROSS the crosswalk for your students' safety.

  • Parents and drivers should not leave their vehicle to assist with unloading or unbuckling students.

  • In the afternoon, parents and drivers should not leave their vehicle to assist with buckling students. If you need to assist your child with buckling, please move up to the gold cone. If you need to exit the vehicle for this, please pull into a parking space for your safety.

  • Please have car tags displayed in afternoon car line until your child is loaded.
