What is ozone and why is it important?
It is important because the gas in the atmosphere that protects everything living on the earth from harmful UV rays from the sun.
What chemicals are involved?
CFCs (chloro-fluoro-carbons) have been the main cause. Other OCDs include the methylhalides, carbon tetrachoride (CCI4) carbon tetrachloride (CF4), and the halons which contain bromine instead of chlorine.
What type of products contain there chemicals?
CFCA- Food freezing, tobacco expansion, fumigation and cancer therapy.
What effect does it have on people?
It has a big effect to human health. More skin cancers, sunburns and premature aging of the skin. Weakening of the human immune system.
Where is is a large problem?

The nations of the world have taken a crucial step in joining together to halt the production and use of ozone-destroying chemicals.
