the Christmas Party on Wednesday 14 December at Magnolia Park, Hugenden Valley and next summer's Prom. The combined cost for these two events is a very reasonable £45. Please can we ask you send in a cheque to the Sixth Form office to cover this. Cheques should be made payable to Claires Court Sixth Form Social Club. Please do not pay for this online as it will go into the wrong account. Many thanks.

SPORTS NEWS
Rugby report
The 1XV made the long journey to the heart of Hertfordshire, to play a strong Richard Hale side, after a cancellation in the league.
Richard Hale started the stronger, scoring 3 early tries in the first half. However, after relentless pressure from the well organised Claire's Court set pieces, both Tom May and Owain Griffiths went over for two late tries in the first half.
Claire's Court remained on top in the second half with constant line breaks from centre Matt Simmons and hard carries from Chris Rayer and Billy Gore.
Despite James Roach scoring a late try, Claire's Court couldn't quite manage to overcome the first half deficit and lost a close 22-17 match.

Sailing News
On Friday 2nd October, Claires Court took part in the ISA sailing Nationals. With a strong breeze and some sunshine, Claires Court had a strong set of results with boats finishing overall in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 8th place. Saturday was the Firefly Open at Bough Beach sailing club. Again, with another day of good weather, the Claires Court boats finished 5th (narrowly missing out on 4th) and 16th.
