A Note From the Principal
What a busy, but fantastic, week we had. COVID had our students waiting a long time for field trips again and we're so happy to resume them this year! Team Tambo was our first team out and they had a fun, successful trip! All other teams will go on a trip before the end of the school year. The SCV All Junior High Cross Country meet saw our team place 3rd overall, with our 7th grade girls placing 3rd in their event and our 8th grade girls taking FIRST PLACE! PTSA also held the annual Reflections Gala last night and the students who submitted projects did an outstanding job. Thank you to all who participated and thank you to our amazing PTSA volunteers who put a special evening together for our students!
While next week will hopefully afford all of our families time together, when we return from the Thanksgiving Break, the last three weeks of the quarter will go by very quickly! If your student has work to catch up on, encourage them to find some time to get that work completed before we return.
Finally, I want to wish you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday. I hope you are able to take a moment to reflect on the things you're grateful for together. I am grateful to have been selected as Rio Norte's Principal and am truly blessed with an incredible staff who care very much about the success of our amazing River Hawks! Your students are wonderful and we are all grateful to support them in this important transition from elementary to high school. Wishing you a wonderful week and memories to be thankful for!
Warmest Regards,
Mrs. Bennett
