This week, students will be doing "Game Day" presentations. A purple assignment sheet was sent home about this last week. Each student was assigned a day to bring in a board game from home. They will be explaining how to the play the game to a small group of students, who will then play the game. This can be trickier than it seems! Please help your child by letting them "practice" their explanations and play the game with you at home. Most students told me they have a game at home in mind and discussed it with their small groups. However, I have several games in the classroom I told students they may borrow including Pictionary, Apples to Apples Jr., Yahtzee, Clue, Uno, Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit (Kids Edition), Qwirkle, and QBitz/QBitz Extreme. Please let me know ASAP if your child needs to borrow one of my games.
If your student is signed up for Day 1, he/she should bring in his/her game TOMORROW!
