March 23-27, 2014
This week we will conclude Unit 8 Whole-Part-Whole Traditional Tales. Our Spotlight will be on the story, Rapunzel.
Our main goals for this week:
Language: In Prek we are continuing to build our language foundation.
Students will review and be able to identify the Letter Q and things that begin with this letter. Please continue to review these letters F, V, E, H, L, C, R, T, A, K, P, W, G, K with your child at home. They have been very excited about independently identify these letters and the letters in their name.
This week we will again put focus on correctly forming the letters in our name and identifying those letters. We will also segment words.We will also continue to learn how to retell and sequence stories. This week will also learn more of our favorite Nursery Rhymes. Along with our focus story we will learn many other traditional nursery rhymes.
Math: Students will extend their learning of measurement. What is something that is short or long. How are things different.
Morning Session: ARRIVAL 7:20AM DEPARTURE 10:50AM
Afternoon Session: ARRIVAL 11:40 AM DEPARTURE 2:50 PM.
* Student arriving late will have to check in through the office. Please pick your child/children up on time as we have meetings and other district required responsibilities between classes.
Use our U-shaped drive way by the Pre-k door. With children present – PLEASE SLOW DOWN, SINGLE LINE and NO U-TURNS. We will try to get you in and out as soon as possible. Our key concern is SAFETY.

Please remember to send your child's library book back so that they can check out a new one. If your child has lost or damaged a book they cannot check out a new one until you have paid for it.
