Are You Returning To Edison in the Fall?
We are beginning to plan for the 2023-2024 school year at this time. It would be extremely helpful for us to know whether or not your child will be returning to Fraser in the fall. We are asking each family to help us with this process by completing the form below. Please take a moment to fill it out. Please complete ONE FORM per child.
We greatly appreciate your assistance planning for next school year!
Penny War- THIS WEEK!
The winning class will be rewarded with an extra recess and a treat!
Proceeds will go towards paying for school-wide behavioral incentives.
PM Playground Usage Reminder
1) All students utilizing the playground after school must have an adult present at the school. Students who walk home without an adult need to head straight home after the 3:30PM dismissal time.
2) Our SACC program needs the playground clear from 3:45PM-6:00PM each day.
Restorative Practices- Parent Training- THIS Wednesday 4/19 6:00PM-9:00PM at RMS
We are very excited to offer you the opportunity to attend a three-hour training session in Restorative Practices. The program offers a look at the Restorative Practices theory and its application. It is a very dynamic, interactive training that focuses on creating relationships and building practical skills that use a relational approach for parents and caregivers.
What will be learned:
The theory of Restorative Practices, how it is being implemented in our school district and strategies that parents can apply when dealing with your children and loved ones. We will discuss the power of affective statements and restorative questioning. We will demonstrate how community building circles are being implemented at FPS and how they make a difference in our relationships.
Who will be teaching:
Your instructors collectively hold over 50 years’ experience in education, 27 years in Public Safety, and over a dozen years directly related to Restorative Practices. Our instructors – a retired police officer, a teacher, and a school social worker – are well trained in RP and have been training the Fraser Public School District employees in Restorative Practices for the last five years.
Who should attend:
Any parent or guardian who does not have all the answers to raising your kids!!!
Why attend:
It takes a village to raise a child. Allow us to support you and provide you an additional set of tools in your parent toolbox! You won’t regret the time you spend with us!!!
When:
Wednesday, April 19th from 6pm to 9pm at Richards Middle School Media Center. Free Pizza and Pop will be provided along with childcare!!!
In addition
Fraser Department of Public Safety will be hosting dinner for all who attend.
Safety Town-Public Safety Awareness for students
We are also offering free childcare for school aged kids (5-12). The students will have excitement of their own. Our students will experience “Safety Town” by Fraser’s Finest. They will visit the police station, the fire station, the EMS station, our support dog station, and a fun craft station. (This will be set up at RMS around the corner from our training)
