Soup Opera
Kindergartners recently performed a musical, “A Soup Opera,” by Jim Gill. Teacher Stacy Binder encouraged students to perform the musical in front of an audience because she said children develop skills such as creative expression, cooperation, following instruction, sharing, taking turns, developing self-esteem, and confidence.
“It’s a fun way for students to express themselves through drama,” Mrs. Binder said.
Please visit the school's Google Doc folder to see some of the students acting in the opera.

Valentine's Dance Pictures
On Saturday, Feb. 11, over 300 Sprague students attended the annual Valentines day dance with their families. The event featured a variety of activities, including snacks, crafts, and Valentine's card-making for teachers. DJ Gator kept the party rocking while families danced and played games throughout the evening.
Professional photographer (and Sprague parent) Lily Ahn, captured memories from the night and families are invited to view and download the photos through her website at https://clients.aloelightstudio.com.
The Valentine's Day dance was a huge success, with everyone enjoying themselves and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
