A Principal's Perspective
What a great week! I love this backdrop picture of our school family. If you haven't checked out all of the pictures in Teacher Scratch, take a look! (teacher scratch-2019/2020 pictures-staff-A&M field trip)
Although a fun trip, learning from another successful and different industry pushes our thinking and helps us to grow professionally and as a school team. The examples at 12 Man Productions of student focus, the importance and necessity of teamwork and the use of best practices for students to be marketable in the workforce all have application for us as educators. I thought it was awesome that as we ended the day, Mike Wright and Ross Bjork not only affirmed the important work that each of you do, they affirmed your servant leadership and the impact that it has. They also reminded us that we coach and learn each day with our students.
I hope that you enjoyed the day. I hope that you took away something that you could apply in your classroom and the work that you do with students and the GP staff. I hope that you were able to get to know other staff members that you might not have known before. Finally, I hope that this was a time to laugh, have fun, build our team and renew our spirits in an awesome setting reminding us that it takes a team to be a model of excellence for our students and families.
Donna
