World War II Statistics

In World War II about 1.5 million children died in the holocaust. 1.2 million were Jews and 10,000 gypsies. 60,000 Jews served in the US armed forces during World War II. 80% of Russians didn't survive World war II in 1923.

Prisoners were given their identification by a number (tattoo's) in the Auschwitz concentration camps. The Germans started World War II by taking over Poland on September 1, 1939.

100,000 allied bomber were killed over Europe. World War II was the most destructive conflict in History it was the war that costed more money and more repairing. On September 11, 1944 the first US troops crossed into enemy lines (Germany).

Hitlers army killed about 12 million people; half of them were Jews that were killed by being burned. William Hitler, Adolf Hitler nephew served in the US military during World war II.

Camps such as Auschwitz- Birkenau combined slave labor with systematic extermination prisoners were divided into two groups: Those too weak to do work were immediately killed in gas chambers, while others were used for slave labor in factories.

Nazis forced some prisoners to work in the removal of corpses and to harvest the remaining of the bodies.
