Parsons Elementary School

Week of February 21st - 25th

Thanks for a a great week.

This has been a week. To be honest, I do not enjoy short weeks. It gets me out of my routine, and I like to see our students. However, as I moved through classrooms this week, I watched some awesome things taking place. There was multiplication, addition, sounds first in our K-1 classrooms, Ms. Brandi limping down the hallway to check on kids, and even some outside time during our recess.

While students were off this past Thursday and Friday, our teachers and staff have improved our craft. Thursday morning, part of our teachers attended training at the high school, some at the board office, and our paraprofessionals had training at PES. That same afternoon we hosted our parent-teacher conference. Friday consisted of professional development and preparing for the next week.

I want to remind you to pay attention to your child's grades through the Parent-Vue app. This allows you to know what is happening with your child. Also, please keep up with their weekly PAID sheets. It will help you understand what is taught this week and any upcoming assessments.

As always, don't hesitate to get in touch with us through email, Facebook, Twitter, or a call. Have a great week!!

New Safety System

How are we doing as a school?

Here are our 3rd/4th-grade science and social study scores from this year. A way to help your child is to look at the study guides on our website. We try to post them ahead of time due to students "losing" theirs. Click on this link to view student guides for this week's SS assessments for both 3rd and 4th grades. Study Guides. Next week, the goal is to show our absentee rate at PES per grade level.

Blood Drive!!

PES will host the bloodmobile on March 7th. Please share the word with others. If we hit 40 again, I will take a pie to the face from a student from each grade.
