Bess

During the story Bess had many death notices one death notice was when King George's Man took Bess tied her up and kissed her. A texted based evidence is ''Now keep good watch!'' and they kissed her she heard the dead man say look for me by moonlight watch for me by moonlight''. Another texted based evidence is ''Till ,now on the stroke of midnight, cold, on the stroke of midnight, the tip of one finger touched it! The trigger at least was her's.'' Bess ends up dying because she killed her self with a pistol because she wanted to be with the highwayman but they would of ended up killing her anyway if she didn't do it herself.These two texted based evidence showed how Bess have had many death notices along the road.

Personality Traits

The highwayman and Bess both have personality traits. Bess's personality traits are bravery and loyalty. Bess shows bravery because she was willing to kill herself before the British troops did it for her. Bess also showed loyalty because she was always caring to everybody including the highwayman, by killing herself to warn the highwayman and also before the British killed her. The highwayman's personality traits are bravery also and courageous. The highwayman was Brave because he was brave to go up to Bess's house when he knew that Bess was in trouble. He was also courageous because he died for Bess at the end of the story. At the end of th/e story Bess and The highwayman are ghosts and they the highwayman still meets her at her house.

Physical Traits

Bess's Physical Traits are she has long black hair with red lips. The highwayman's physical traits are he wore an old army uniform, a pistol inside his pocket and boots were up to the thigh. In conclusion Bess and the highwayman have many physical traits

Who greives For Them Today

The person that grieves for Bess and the Highwayman is Tim. Tim was jealous that they were both together but then he thinks about it and says they both fit for each other.

The Highwayman

During the story the highwayman had 2 death notices one death notice is he saw the red coats with pistols in their hands getting ready to kill him if he got closer to Bess. One textual evidence is ''Back he spurred like a madman, shrieking a curse to the sky. With the white road smoking behind him and his rapier brandished high! Blood-red were his spurs i' the golden noon; wine- red was his velvet coat, when they shot him down the highway.'' Another texted based evidence is '' He turned: he spurred to the West he did not know who stood Bowed, with her head o'er the musket, drenched with her own red blood! Not till the dawn he heard it, his face grew grey to hear.'' That evidence is saying that he knew what happened to Bess and he thought it would happen to him because they where waiting all night for the highwayman. These two texted based evidences show that the highwayman had 2 death notices during the story.

Who Grieves For Them Today

The person that grieves for Bess and the Highwayman is Tim. Tim is the one that grieves for them because he was jealous that they were both together but now he thinks that i was the best for both of them.
