AP testing is upon us!

AP tests are officially underway! This can be a very stressful time for many students. You can really help your child by making sure they are getting plenty of sleep, a good breakfast, and are up and moving early so they are not rushed on exam day.

Check out this really cool blog for last minute study tips:

Request a change

Schedules went home with students on Friday, April 29. If your student would like to request a schedule change, please have them complete the short GoogleDoc- links posted below. The links were also listed on the schedules.

The GoogleDoc is the ONLY form of request that will be accepted.

All schedule change requests MUST be submitted by 5pm on Friday, May 6. The GoogleDoc will close at that time.

The counseling team will do our best to make the requested change, but do not guarantee that we will be able to accommodate all requests.

Students will be notified via email by Friday May 20 if we were able to honor their request.

It's almost summer break....

Summer break can be a time for students to get some much-needed rest, but it can also be a time for them to get ahead of the curve with college planning.

Rising seniors should spend some time this summer touring colleges and narrowing down the list of schools they may want to apply to this fall. It's also a REALLY good idea to start (or keep) taking the SAT and/or ACT. Students who have satisfactory scores before the start of senior year will have considerably less stress as they begin their last year of high school and the college application process.

It's also a good idea for students of any age to spend some time volunteering with 1 or 2 organizations that they are passionate about or are interested in. This will look great on college applications, plus giving back to the community can really increase a sense of self-worth a purpose... not to mention it get's them out of bed and moving!

Check out the Student Services webpage ( for more information on summer programs.
