12 Days of Christmas
Day 6 - Welcome to Midnight
Tonight isn't an easy night for everyone, in fact New Year's Eve can be pretty rough for those suffering from depression, anxiety and a whole host of other problems which can make the world feel like a very lonely place to those people. The links above are a small snippet from a bigger blog written by Jamie Tworkowski, founder of 'To Write Love On Her Arms' which is an organisation trying to help those suffering just now.
We are all capable of helping each other, being there for one another, letting each other know we care. Depression is often hidden and can happen to anyone but we have all got that power within us to reach out and be that rock for others too. Here's another little snippet from Jamie's blog post that we want to draw your attention to...
Wouldn't it be nice if change took just a moment? Wouldn't it be nice if it were that easy? Midnight and we're new. Midnight and the past erased. Midnight and we're free.
Change may not happen in an instant but it can begin in one. Use tonight to reach out to those who can help you or to offer your help to someone you think might need it right now. Nothing magical happens at midnight to make things better, no one waves a wand as the clock strikes to say things will be fine but why can't we use it as a starting point to enter into 2016 one step forward from where we leave 2015 behind?
