Why was the decade called the roaring twenties?

Young men and women wanted to forget the horrors of war

Women had gained independence and were going to college, had jobs, and could vote

Women and young men were changing from traditional values to more modern ideas

The main lifestyle changed from rural country to urban crowded cities

America was beginning to prosper

People were buying stuff on credit and didn't know they needed to pay it back, which led to the great depression
