Religious Zeal
The significance of the Religious Zeal was it opened peoples eyes to new religions for the second time. This event impacted today's society because the creation of new religions caused many people to convert and to find new lives outside of what they were brought up around.
New Religions
The significance of New Religions were they opened up and made people realize that there were other options out there. This even impacted today's society because New Religions gave people other opportunities instead of just one.
Transcendentalism
The significance of Transcendentalism was to believe that people can transcend/rise above, material things in life to reach a higher level of understanding. This event impacted today's society because it gave people all around the United States the opportunity to find a better way of life.
Social Reforms
The significance of the Social reforms were to make people see things that others seen. This event impacted today's society because there were long reforms for certain things, and people still talk about it today, and feel like those reforms should have actually took action and did what the reforms wanted them to do.
Women Reform
The significance of the Women Reform were to make the society a better place. They expanded their roles past the household, and into society that needed better lives. This event impacted today's society because a lot has changed and they changed things for the better, because they spoke for a lot of different people then what everyone else were speaking for.
Education and Reform
The significance of the Educational Reform were to make school open to everyone, including poor, and women. This event impacted today's society because our education system is a lot better these days then they were in the earlier days. We have a lot more opportunities than other people did back in the day and we get a lot farther than the people back then.
Reforming Institutions
The significance of the Reforming Institutions were to create and to improve facilities that cared for disadvantaged people. This event impacted today's society because there's now rehabilitations for the mentally ill, there's prisons, and there's places for the poor and the homeless to go get help.
Abolition
The significance of the Abolitions were to cause awareness for the wrongdoings of people and the way the treat people. This impacted today's society because the African Americans became free after many years of the North saying that it was wrong, and also many years of the South treating them the wrong way.
Abolitionists
The significance of abolitionists were to bring a voice for the people that didn't get a chance to speak out, or a chance to say what they were feeling/what was on their minds. This impacted today's society because, again, it freed the slaves and gave voices to those that didn't have the chance to speak out.
Colonization
The significance of colonization was to bring more people to the United States and to help people get away from the harsh rule they were under previously. This impacted today's society because now we live in a free country and we have our own religions, that are accepted for the most part, we have our own beliefs, and we have the freedom to do whatever we want.
Causes of Womens Rights
The significance of the causes of Women's rights were the act of women sick and tired being left out and treated like they couldn't do anything. Which meant that they fought for their rights and to be treated just like anyone else. The impact it had on today's society is that it led to Women's rights, which gives us the chance to prove that we can do anything a man can do, and that our skills don't just end in the kitchen and raising children.
Womens Rights
The significance of Women's rights were to prove that they can handle things just as much as a man can handle things. The impact it had on today's society is significant. There are women in many fields that "only men could handle". We're given the respect that we deserve and we're treated equally.
