September 24 Volunteer Opportunities - Roswell at Walton
If you want to go ahead and claim your volunteer spot for a future game, please log into Charms, open the calendar, and sign up today!
Additional volunteer questions, please contact Stuart Dougherty, stuartdougherty@gmail.com or 404-277-4895. Thanks again to all our wonderful band volunteers, go Hornets!
Volunteer for the Pit Crew! This gang of volunteers is essential to the band's performance. They make sure all the props, plumes, and sound equipment are in place and ready for action. They oversee the student's loading of equipment and then work efficiently during performances to make sure the students shine. The equipment isn't too heavy (all on wheels) and volunteers can be easily trained prior to a performance. Volunteer for a pit crew position at an upcoming football game or competition and be on the field where the action is!
HIGHLIGHTS FROM ROSWELL VS CAMPBELL & FULTON COUNTY MARCHING BAND EXHIBITION
Wow! Last weekend was an exciting double-header for the RHS marching band.
On Friday, they performed the pregame and halftime shows during the Roswell vs. Campbell game. As usual, the band kept the crowd revved up during the entire game.
After a few hours of sleep, they were back on Saturday for a full day of preparation and performance at the Fulton County Marching Band Exhibition which was held at Cambridge High School in Milton. The band's performance at the exhibition looked and sounded wonderful!

SENIOR NIGHT / MIDDLE SCHOOL NIGHT (Friday Oct. 1)
Unfortunately, Senior Night was scheduled for last weekend and was postponed due to potential bad weather. It has been rescheduled for the Roswell vs. Etowah game on October 1st. Seniors will have their own dinner before the game (provided by the Booster Club) and parents will be welcomed for a dessert reception afterwards. Band Seniors will walk the field before the game and the band will play at halftime. Additional details and timeline information will be provided next week.
TRUCK DRIVER: PAID POSITION
Do you know of anyone with a semi truck and CDL who would be interested in pulling the RHS band trailer on Friday away games and a few Saturday competitions? This is not a volunteer position and the driver does not need to be a band parent. We are budgeted to pay the standard rate for the driver, truck, and fuel, plus a cash tip to the driver. Please spread the word among all of your business and family contacts.
If you know of anyone who might be interested, please contact Tom Brown at tbammed@me.com or 404-434-2680.
WELCOME TO OUR NEW CO-VP OF LOGISTICS
We would like to introduce the newest member of our executive board, Tom Brown. Tom has been involved in volunteering with the Marching Band pit crew, Co-Chairman of the March Fundraising campaign, and other volunteering positions with the band. Welcome Tom!
