Argyle High School Academics Team Wins Big!
Argyle High School's UIL Academics team is the Class 5A Region I champions! Argyle High School won the title with 365 points, which was 160 points ahead of second-place Abilene Wylie.
This awesome achievement also included two PERFECT test scores! Rylan Wilson earned a perfect 420 score on the accounting test and Megan Netzelman scored a perfect 300 on the computer apps test. These two tests are very challenging and these two Eagles earned outstanding achievements!
This year's competition was the most difficult with Argyle moving up to Class 5A this year.
"The academic coaches and students have put in countless hours and given up a lot of weekends throughout the year to achieve this championship," UIL Academics Coordinator Jessica Reynolds said. "We will be taking 30 students to the Class 5A State Academic meet held at the University of Texas in Austin on May 17-18. We are thrilled to be taking such a large group to Austin once again this year!"

Hilltop Teacher Wins "Wright Stuff" Award!
Superintendent Dr. Telena Wright and the AISD Leadership Team surprised the April "Wright Stuff" Award winner Judy Fischer!
Mrs. Fischer is a Special Education Instructional Assistant at Hilltop Elementary and has been with the district for 7 years. Mrs. Fischer has been a shining light in the life of every student that she meets. For her nomination, her fellow colleagues wrote...
-Mrs. Fischer is a student and staff favorite on our campus. She opens doors in the morning, and no matter what door kids get out of, they all make sure to tell her hello. Most go to her for a hug even. She is such a great help to our teachers when she is assigned to their room. She knows what needs to be done without being asked. She is always alert to students' needs. She's a positive attitude, paired with an incredible work ethic.
-She is an exemplary employee that is always on time and available to do whatever is asked with a smile on her face. She deals with some difficult situations without blinking an eye. She earns respect from all the students and adults she works with whether they are in special education or general education. Judy is always willing to step up and assist whenever and wherever a need arises.
Special THANK YOU to the district Eagle Partners for sponsoring the $100 Amazon gift card that Mrs. Fischer receives with her award.

Sixth Grade Center Hires New Assistant Principal
The Argyle ISD Board of Trustees approved Taylor Gilbreath as the new Assistant Principal at the Sixth Grade Center.
Gilbreath has served the past three years as the Assistant Principal at Argyle High School. She will start in this new role for the 2023-2024 school year. The Sixth Grade Center will open in August of 2023 and previously served as Argyle Intermediate School, located at 800 Eagle Drive in Argyle.
