Library Fundraiser
Hello!
It's that time of year to clean out your closets and dressers! I want all your unused yet good condition clothes, shoes and bedding.
Savers is paying per pound so men's jeans are the best! Please bring your bags of donated clothes to the library and I will do the rest. If you could keep shoes in a separate bag that would be appreciated. Thank you for helping the library get some funds to support your kids and classroom! This fundraiser will be going through March.
Cat Steele,
Happy Librarian!
Lunch Volunteers
Thank you so much to those who have already helped out. The students love having you and it is a big help!!
We would love to have parents/guardians volunteer and help Miss Lynsie and Miss Chantell during lunchtime. Your responsibility would be to encourage kids to eat, clean up their area and support positive play at recess. Our lunch time is 11:05-11:45. You would check in with the office at 11:00 and then meet Miss Lynsie and Miss Chantell in the cafeteria for further instructions.
Students love it when parents and guardians drop in at school. We really believe this will help with many behavior issues that are popping up. We appreciate any time you can volunteer.
One parent per day can sign up below.
Green Notes
If your child receives a green note please remember it is because they have had multiple reminders to follow the school rules (at least 3 reminders). At times students receive an 'automatic green note' for behavior such as hitting. Please remember that many reminders to be respectful in the classroom means that learning for the whole class is being interrupted.
Parents, we rely on you to support us and have high expectations for your child. We are cultivating leadership skills and it starts with taking responsibility for our actions.
Lunch and Recess Information
If possible, please do not send lunch that needs to be microwaved. Lunch is 20 minutes long and we only have 2 microwaves. Students are missing out on precious eating time because so many are waiting in line to cook food.
REMINDERS
- If your family is in need of food assistance, please contact the office or reach out to a teacher and we can help!
- Students must be in uniform. Any undershirts under collared shirts must be dress code as well. See the link to the dress code for more details.
- Label student's water bottles, backpacks and lunch bags. We have quite a few duplicates.
- Label all outdoor gear.
- Students need a backpack and yellow folder every day.
- Please check and clean out your child's yellow folder daily. Completed classwork will be sent home and needs to be taken out. Absent work will be blank and have your child's name at the top and needs to be completed and sent back.
Bedtime for Bookworms
Every Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. Mrs Macchia will be reading a story on Facebook Live for our students. All you need to do to have your child watch is like and follow our school Facebook page and then log on at the right time. We hope all our Flyers can enjoy a great story together this coming Wednesday.
