Who are we?
The Hixson PTO is made up of 7th and 8th grade parents. Parents meet bi-monthly to coordinate a variety of items to support the school.

What do we do?
We support our school through a variety of ways that include hospitality for parent-teacher conferences and teacher appreciation week, student social events, PTO mini-grants, fundraising and pretty much anything our school needs.
Our largest and ONLY major fundraiser is the annual Holiday House Tour, which is held on the first Sunday in December. This event calls for a large number of volunteers to pull it off and is a Webster Groves tradition. This day requires a small army of volunteers to make it successful and we can use your help. It is also a lot of fun! Please be on the lookout for emails asking for volunteers.
We also organize the online Buzz book.
Where does the money raised go?
The PTO also makes it possible for:
- Teacher hospitality during long conference evenings by providing dinner and treats
- Teacher appreciation gifts
- Providing PTO mini-grants for classrooms
- Books for book battle
- Supplies for special projects
- Equipment to supplement classroom instruction
- Student social events
- Student field trip fund to help offset the cost of field trips
- Counselor support fund to be used to support students in need
- Book Fair fund to support teachers and literacy
How can you get involved and support the school through the PTO?
You can get involved by:
Attending meetings and leading with other parents
We need your voice! If you are able, please join us for one of the bi-monthly meetings. Meetings are:
- 1/8 @ 7pm
- 3/11 @ 7pm
- 5/6 @ 7pm

Donating
- SEND in your Box Tops!
- Sign up to donate items for student activities, Webster Holiday House tour refreshments and teacher meals. These signups will be sent out as events come up.
- Purchase advertising for your business in My School Anywhere (the digital buzz book) or support the PTO by contributing to the Class fund- Donate $24 for the class of 2024 or $25 for the class of 2025.
