Family Game Night Fun
Our Title 1 Family Engagement Night was a big success with about 200 people from the community participating in games and checking out the reptile petting zoo. Family Engagement Nights are a great way to reinforce ties between home and school. By bringing families together on campus, they provide opportunities to create a more welcoming, accessible and inclusive school culture. These events help build a stronger community support system so that students can thrive in school and beyond. Please save the date for our next event on May 5th, Cinco De Libro, which will include bounce houses and a nacho bar.

State Testing Starts In May
Washington students take state and federal tests regularly to assess their learning growth as well as the progress of the educational system as a whole. State tests include the following:
- Smarter Balanced Assessments (SBA): English language arts (ELA) and math tests for students in grades 3–8 and 10 for federal and state accountability. The high school ELA and math assessments can be used to meet a student's graduation pathway requirement.
- Washington Comprehensive Assessment of Science (WCAS): Science test for grades 5, 8, and 11 required for federal and state accountability.
