Greetings Pike Lake Families,
Last night was a huge success! Our staff was thrilled to see so many students, and their families, here at our Superhero Family Night. Based on our estimates, we had over 950 people in attendance to help celebrate our Super Kindergarten Readers and all the learning they have accomplished this year. We appreciate your continued support of your child’s learning, here at school and at home!
There are a lot of things that can be shared as we enter into Thanksgiving week, and I would like to share a few thoughts about my transition to the Principal position here at Pike Lake.
First, I LOVE IT here! Our Pike Lake staff is committed to our students and what it takes for their growth and success. I am so impressed with the way our staff has worked to continually shape Pike Lake to be the best place for our early learners.
Also, I am thankful to all the Pike Lake students and families for the warm welcome I have felt since the announcement was made that I would be joining the Pike Lake Kindergarten staff. I am incredibly grateful to be part of such a supportive and cooperative learning community.
I hope you and your family can find much to be thankful for during the break.
Thank you and have a Happy Thanksgiving.
Go Panthers!
Todd Durand, Principal
Winter is Here!
- 1,070 Winter Boots
- 535 Pairs of Snow Pants
- 535 Winter Jackets
- 1,070 Gloves / Mittens
- 535 Hats
Please be sure to label ALL winter weather gear! Students easily misplace items or accidentally bring home items that belong to other students. Clearly label each item with your child's first and last name. Purchasing unique colors and adding special patches on coats and snow pants also help students identify items belonging to them.
Interested in Subbing?
We have two types of paras in our building:
- Special Education
- Instructional / Supervisory
If you would be interested in subbing for any of these positions, please go here, then 'View and Apply for available jobs'; apply for substitute positions.
