St Jude School
November 8, 2019
A message from Fr. Joe
Dear Parents,
It is with satisfaction that I reviewed the spreadsheet of data regarding how well academically St. Jude School fares compared to other schools. Having spent 30 years of my life in education and maintaining a good chunk of my heart into loving Catholic schools, I examined those comparative statistics with the utmost interest. I can affirm with confidence that I am proud of our students, the faculty that prepares them academically, the aides that accompany them in their learning, the office staff that makes them feel welcome, the maintenance department that takes good care of the building, and the Principal, who oversees the whole system with enthusiasm, passion and high professionalism. It is no surprise that St. Jude’s scores have improved significantly and the school is highly respected for academic excellence. I am also proud of the religious formation that the children receive and of the value given to faith and Catholicity. As you may know, St. Jude is the largest Catholic grade school in Lorain County. Of course, we are determined to maintain high standards and to do what we can to keep our fine teachers committed to St. Jude School. Of course, all this comes at a cost. The financial committee is studying ways to fulfill this goal by balancing the high cost of living with a minimal financial burden laid on families. I am aware of the great sacrifices all of you are making to keep your child at St. Jude. You are admirable in this and you will not regret it. You are in my prayers.

Weekly Update from Mrs. Hibler
Dear Parents,
I can't believe this Sunday is parent-teacher conferences already! It seems like just yesterday that we hosted our Back to School Nights. I hope your discussions are positive and productive. I feel strongly that communication between parents and teachers is an essential part of academic achievement for the student. With my experience as an educator, I can tell you that when parents and teachers work together to find academic success for the student, everyone wins.
We are in the final stretch of the canned food drive and Veteran's Day collection. Below you will find a list of the items needed. These collections provide a sense of pride for our students that they are doing good for their community. Feed the hungry, clothe the poor, there is no better way to be a disciple of God.
Enjoy the weekend!
Godspeed,
Mrs. Hibler
