A Quick Look into District-Wide Campus Events
William Adams Middle School PTA 2nd Annual Turkey Trot/5K Run
The run will start at WAMS and will end with the releasing of the color dye. The dye is cornstarch and is non-hazardous. Students and their families are encouraged to participate. Ages 10 and up are welcomed.
Please register with a WAMS student. Registration fee is $20.00 and includes a white T-Shirt and a packet of color dye.
Late registration will be $25.00 and will not include a T-Shirt.

Red Ribbon Festivities
Another fun day was the Halloween Parade that took place on Friday, October 31st. The early morning thunder and rain showers helped create an extra spooky Halloween as the kids enjoyed their fun parade around the hallways of Hillcrest Elementary.
Principal Monica Morales and staff want to thank all their parents for helping make Red Ribbon Week a success!

Salazar Elementary October Events
During Red Ribbon week, the campus hosted guest speaker County Attorney Jesusa Sanchez Vera during their flag raising ceremony. During the week the campus also promoted the theme "Mustache you not to do drugs" campaign. Students and staff sported a variety of mustaches throughout the day to celebrate their commitment to stay drug free.
In addition to Red Ribbon festivities, students were also treated to a campus Trick or Treat as they were the winners for having the largest parent representation at the 3rd Annual Parent Involvement Conference held on October 18th. Students were allowed to sport their costumes and walk around the campus receiving their treats from faculty and staff.
Another exciting event was the Family Literacy Night held. Students and parents enjoyed a picnic in the cafeteria with hot dogs, chips and drinks.

Schallert Elementary Events
Schallert Turkey Luncheon Nov. 20th
Schallert Elementary Thanksgiving Luncheon will be held on Thursday, November 20th. Participating grade levels are PK, 1st, & 3rd grade.
Mark Your Calendars
- Schallert Elementary will be recognizing Veterans with a Wall of Fame and flag raising ceremony on Tuesday, November 11 at 8:00a.m.. The staff is also participating in the Jeans for Troops campaign to raise money for Veterans.
- Students will be participating in Jump Rope for Heart program. Donations will be taken from November 5th – November 19th.
- Science Fair will be held on Tuesday, November 18th.
October Events at Schallert Elementary
On Halloween students came to school dressed in their costumes, and the final activity to culminate the week's events was Schallert's Fall Fest! A variety of games, food, and prizes were enjoyed by all the students and their families. Thank you to all the families for coming out to enjoy our week's activities.
