Gifts for Teens
Dear Parents,
Lisle 202 knows that many of our families are struggling right now and we want nothing more than to make sure your family has what they need for the holiday season. Over the years Toys for Tots and our Elementary school staffs, have offered this support for our younger students. This year, for the first time, we are expanding that program in a new way to support older students. Lisle 202 is partnering with multiple local organizations to help take away some of the added stress of the holiday season. The Lisle Junior High staff, the Lisle Senior High Staff, Trinity Church in Lisle and Friends Feeding Families will be providing gift items and West Suburban Community Pantry & Friends Feeding Families will be providing food for your holiday meal.
These teams are working together in order to assist families in need during the upcoming holiday season. If you indicate you have this need and would like to participate in this program, you will be allowed to participate and we will make every attempt to ensure your privacy. Due to limited resources and our effort to support as many families as possible, we will not be able to accept families into this program who are receiving gifts through the Toys for Tots program and will also have a cap on how many families we are able to accept (approximately 100 depending on needs.) For participating families, each Junior High or High School teen student, who are students in the Lisle 202 system, will receive an age appropriate and gender specific gift, as well as hat and gloves for the winter weather.
If you are in need of this support, please fill out this form and return it to school, attention to anyone listed the bottom of this letter, no later than Friday November 16, 2018. Pick up for the gifts will be on Saturday December 15th between 10 am and noon at Lisle Senior High School.
Families that would like to help support this program can contact anyone listed below, can purchase Walmart gift cards, or send in cash. Please send the gift cards/cash to the school office attention: Jennifer Zimmerman (Pomatto.)
Happy Holidays,
Sincerely,
Jen Zimmerman
