Wheel of Sweets!
We have a new game this year.......the Wheel of Sweets! Players will place their chips on any open number on the board, and we will spin the wheel. Winner gets to pick a dessert to take home from our supply of cookies, cakes, pies, brownies, etc.!
We are asking parents to contribute baked goods for his game. Please help us by baking (or buying) and donating a yummy dessert! Check back here in a day or so for a Signup Genius link to help out!
Parents are a very important part of our Rodeo success! Without you, many of the events and games that we have each year would not be possible. We will not be auctioning class baskets this year, so no requests for money or items to fill the baskets will be sent home. Instead, we are asking for your help with providing sweets for our game. Thank you for your support!
Fine Print: All items should be turned in either Friday, April 1st, during school hours, or on Saturday, April 2nd, by 10:00am. Label all items so we know what they are, and if they are Nut Free, Gluten Free, etc.
DO YOU OWN A BUSINESS?
One of the main ways we raise money is through sponsorships for the Rodeo. This is an incredible advertising opportunity, and a tax free way to support your children's school. The PTO is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) organization. As such, all contributions/donations are tax deductible. With over 500 families at Greens Prairie, a Rodeo sponsorship get's your business year long recognition and attention.
If you would like to become a sponsor, please click here for the printable form. The deadline for the Rodeo program is THIS Friday, March 11th. But, we will accept sponsorship donations at any time!
Please contact Desarie Hobbs with any questions regarding sponsorships. dhobbs@cccreationsusa.com.

FAQ
1. Can I get more tickets at discount prices if I have already pre-ordered? YES! You may buy as many tickets as you want, at pre-sale discounts, if you buy at any one of the pre-sale dates. On Rodeo day, all tickets will be full price.
2. How do I turn in my BBQ Cook-Off, Cupcake Wars, or Sponsorship forms? All forms may be turned into the front office at school anytime prior to the close of school on Friday, April 1st. Send the forms and payments to school with your child!
3. I heard there is a craft fair, can I enter? Unfortunately, we will not be hosting a craft fair in conjunction with the 2016 Rodeo. However, if you have products, or a service, that you think our parents would like to see or hear about, we are offering an opportunity, for a donation to the PTO of $40.00 (this is a fundraiser right?), for you to set up a booth in the main traffic areas of the Rodeo. Contact Lara Lewis for more information (lara.lewis2537@yahoo.com).
4. How do I pay for auction items if I win? Good news! This year, the PTO will be able to accept three forms of payment; cash, check, and CREDIT CARDS!
5. Do I have to be present to win an auction item? NO! If you are the winning bid, we will contact you. We typically give you until the end of the week following the Rodeo to pick up and pay for your item(s). After that, we will contact the next person on the bid sheet.
6. I see you have a "kids meal" option for the food this year. Is there an age limit on that meal? NO! Anyone can purchase the kids meal option.
7. How much should I plan to spend at the Rodeo? Now, that is a very hard question for us to answer.......because....well, it is a fundraiser, right? Ticket prices, meal prices and wristband prices are published on the pre-order form and in the program that will be sent home the week of the Rodeo. But, should you run out of cash at the Rodeo, we have you covered! We take credit cards!
8. Is there an age limit on the games and inflatables? Yes, a few of the games and inflatables are not suitable for children younger than 5, but don't worry, we have PLENTY of games for younger children, AND a bounce house dedicated to 6 and younger children only!
9. What does the PTO do with the money raised at the Rodeo? We LOVE for you to ask that question! The money raised at the Rodeo goes right back to the school! The PTO, of course, does have an operational budget that we cover for the following school year. But, beyond that, 100% of the profit from ALL PTO fundraisers goes back to the school to purchase equipment for the school, fund teacher grants, buy educational materials, pay for field trips, support continuing staff education, and to pay for technology upgrades and learning tools that the children use every day! Because we are a 501(c)(3), we make every effort to spend the money in the school year that it is received. We do not carry money over from year to year, except for our operations budget, and a scholarship fund that we maintain for future GPE high school seniors.
