Also, remember that EACH Homeroom is asked to (1) provide a silent auction item and (2) volunteer at an assigned booth! If you are not sure what your class silent auction item is, please ask your HOMEROOM MOM today! If you haven't signed up to volunteer, PLEASE ASK if there is a place you might still be needed. If your class volunteer slots are full, please ask LISA MOLINA if another class needs help filling slots! Remember we aren't full until we are all full!

Friends of Fatima Luncheon
Friends of Fatima noon luncheon benefitting Our Lady of Fatima School will be held on October 9th at noon in Ponzini Family Life Center.
This month's menu consists of grilled pork chops and mashed potatoes with brown gravy, vegetables, salad, rolls dessert and tea.
Cost is $9.00 per plate - Dine In or Take Out.
Reservations are needed to be made so they can have a meal count. For reservations please call Strelsa Hasselmeier at (409)935-8213 or (409)502-1271 or make payments in the office. All orders must be placed by NOON Tuesday, October 8th.

FALL PICTURE DAY IS COMING!
Wednesday, October 16th: School pictures for all classes in Mass Day Uniforms! These pictures will be used for our yearbook this year too! Pictures will start AFTER Mass!
Thursday, October 17th: Volleyball, Cheer and Spirit Squad Pictures! Volleyball will go first before 9:15am. Spirit Squad will follow, and Cheer will go last.
Keep and eye out for picture forms from Gulf Coast Imaging Studios to go home NEXT WEEK!
HOMECOMING PARADE!
Float 1: Scholar Float Prek 3 and Prek 4--please wear jeans or shorts and a spirit shirt or red Fatima polo.
Float 2: Scholar Float K-4th grade- please wear jeans or shorts and spirit shirt or read Fatima polo.
Athletics and Spirit Squad: All athletes in grades 5-8 may ride the athletics float wearing their team sport/athletic jersey. Spirit squad will ride this float, even Prek.
CHEER SQUAD and Athletes in Grades 6-8 will have the option to WALK in front of the floats and lead the Fatima floats.
We are in need of DECORATIONS for each float. Our theme is school colors with silver. Anything red, navy, white, or silver can be used. We have two Fatima banners we will use too. Please bring decorations to the office so we know ahead of time what we still need! Thank you!

Thursday, October 24 - "Put a Cap on Drugs" (Wear your favorite cap or hat)
Friday, October 25 - "Red-y" to live a drug free life! (Wear your spirit shirts w/denim bottoms or regular uniform OR FREE DRESS if you have purchased the pass from PTL!) RED SNOW CONES WILL BE SERVED DURING LUNCH!
Trunk or Treat
On October 26, the PTL and 8th grade class are hosting a school, parish, and community wide Trunk-or-Treat. This is our first year hosting this event, and EVERYONE IS INVITED! Please see the flyer for more information!
We need your help making it a success. We are taking any donations families or companies are willing to offer. Here are a few of the items we are most in need of, in order of greatest need to least needed items:
1. Bags of individually wrapped candy
2. Mini pumpkins for decorating
3. Halloween decorations
4. Small game prizes (example: spider rings, small toys and/or trinkets, slime, etc)
PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANYTHING. This is only if you have access to donation items you can give to the school!

Teacher Spotlight
Mrs. Fields comes to us from Moody Methodist as an Assistant Director. Before that she served at Holy Family Catholic School. She has a degree in Early Childhood, and her first love is PREK aged children. She is strong advocate for early literacy, and a sneak peek into her classroom will show she loves very hands-on lessons. We are blessed to have Mrs. Fields as part of our Fatima Family!
Mrs. Schlitzberger comes to us from Clear Creek ISD where she served as a technology, Robotics, and math teacher for many years. Last year, Ms. Schlitzberger served Fatima as a reading and math interventionist. This year she has moved into the role of Middle School math and Library Manager. Mrs. Schlitzberger has an impressive educational background! She is certified in multiple areas including Special Ed and Technology! Mrs. Schlitzberger is a huge asset to our campus taking on multiple roles on campus! We are blessed to have her here at Fatima!

Halloween and All Saints Day Celebrations!
COSTUMES: Costumes are allowed on Halloween, but please NO FACE PAINT. Masks may be worn DURING THE PARADE ONLY!
Parties will start at 1:30. We will NOT admit parents before 1:20. Please do not arrive before 1:15. Parade line up will begin at 2:15.
ALL SAINT'S DAY: Our Mass celebration for the week of October 28-November 1 will be on FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 1 in honor of All Saint's Day. We will NOT have Mass Wednesday of that week. Please dress your scholar in FULL MASS DAY uniform on Friday, November 1.
Fatima Falcons Athletics
CHEER: Our cheerleaders are looking EXCELLENT! Both our cheer and spirit squads have been fitted in NEW UNIFORMS! We are excited to see our cheer and athletics programs growing! Our cheerleaders will be leading the parade next week at Homecoming during the TC Parade! Go Falcons!
BASKETBALL: Boys Basketball practice will be starting soon! We are hoping to field both a JV and VARSITY team this year! We are also working to get our girls basketball team in place. We are excited for a new season of basketball and hope to see you all at the games!
