Comments/ Questions:
Will you require uniforms for the next school year? We will not require uniforms for next school school year to accommodate families' current circumstances. However, we do encourage students to continue to wear the uniform to foster a positive virtual school learning experience.
When will we receive class lists? We will pass out Class lists on 8/11 (Times will be announced)
What is the tech support phone number for difficulties in logging on, using technology and hotspots? (408) 223-3724
How can I access tutoring for my student? We will be sharing additional resources, but please refer to Tutors.com which provides free tutoring support of up to 25 min free per session.
What are the school office hours? School Main Office hours are from 9:00am-3:30pm (12:00-1:00pm lunch time)
When will students get a schedule of classes/ teachers assigned to them? We plan on providing class lists on 8/11 see newsletter on Wednesday
What happens if a student misses the online class? We will be getting further guidance by the State and County Office of Education in reference to Attendance protocols that we will share once provided. More information will be provided after August 11th.
What about school pictures? We have been in communication with Lifetouch and will provide further information.
When will there be parent training on new technology? We will be providing Parent Trainings in both Spanish and English mid August 8/10- 8/14.
Suggestions:
Parents suggested that we develop a donations for teachers who would like to request special materials
Suggestion on uploading pictures to an app/ or site for early yearbook inclusion
Add the Coffee with the Principal Zoom dates to the IJA School Google Calendar

What if I am new to MPESD?

Ida Jew Academy will be following the 180 instructional days instead of the 175 school day calendar in previous years (Bell Schedule to be determined based on return to school status)
Incoming 7th graders for 2020-2021:
Parents/ Guardians please make sure to provide proof of your student's immunizations. Remember, "No Shot, No School." These can be emailed to Mrs. Raquel Schaffino at rschaffino@mpesd.org and we will provide allocated days as we get closer to our first day.
