IMPORTANT INFORMATION! PLEASE READ!
*Summer courses are offered in either 4- or 8-week formats. This means all work for the 3-credit hour course will be required in a
shortened format. The federal definition of a credit hour requires one hour of instruction time and two hours of out-of-class student work per
credit per week. So, for an 8-week class, you would expect to have 6 hours instruction time with 12 hours work time for a total of 18 hrs./week for 8 weeks. For a 4 week class, you should expect to spend 12 hours of instruction time with 24 hours of work time per week for a total of 36 hrs./week for 4 weeks.
Course objectives, readings and assignments for these short-term classes WILL NOT be reduced, so please make sure you are able and willing to devote the required time and understand the expectations prior to enrollment.
