Wreath Fundraiser

Wreath Fundraiser

Our wreath fundraiser has begun! Order forms with payment are due by Friday, October 28. Credit cards can be processed in the office or through our Online Payment system. Please follow the instructions on the homepage for login information. If you still need assistance, please call the office at 360.458.2400, press 7 or 8. Orders will be ready for pick-up during fall conferences, November 21-23.

Trunk or Treat

6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

McKenna Bus Loop

If you would like to volunteer for the event, please fill out the Google Form to sign up to have a 'trunk' at Trunk or Treat. Your "trunk" can be simple or elaborate...it's up to you! Families can also help out with the event by donating bags of candy. Donations may be dropped off in the office or sent to school with your student.

Students may wear their costumes to school on Friday, October 28 as long as they fit the expectations listed below:

  • No masks or face paint.
  • No scary costumes and/or props
  • Costumes must not interfere with the learning of the student or classmates.
  • Costumes must follow McKenna dress code – no overly suggestive or gang-related costumes.
  • Costumes may not demean any race, religion, nationality, handicapped condition or gender.

Our lost and found is already packed! It is located in the gym so please check it out! Parents.........if a jacket or other belonging is labeled with the students name, it will be returned to them. All lost and found items will be donated to a local church after fall conferences on November 23.

Parking Reminder

For parent pick-up, please park in a designated stall in the parking lot. The lanes in front of the office are a no parking zone due to it being a fire lane. Thank you for your understanding.

Did you know all Yelm Community Schools student handbooks are posted on each school's website and updated at the beginning of every year? We are asking all McKenna families to discuss and remind their students of the McKenna expectations in the McKenna Student Handbook.

If your student has a pick-up or bus/transportation change, please call or email the McKenna office before 2:00 p.m at 360.458.2400 or mk_attendance@ycs.wednet.edu. We will not be able to make any changes to schedules after 2:00 p.m.

McKenna Elementary has qualified for the Community Eligibility Program (CEP) for the 2022-23 school year. All students will receive free breakfast and lunch for the year.


Students may purchase a single milk for $.50 if a drink is needed for cold lunch. Please add money to your students lunch account through Online Payments. Please follow the login instructions on the Online Payment site. If you do not know your Family/Skyward Access login, please call the office at 360.458.2400, press 7 or 8.
