Did you know you are magic?
I hope you all enjoyed your weekend, and are getting excited for your well-earned Glow in the Dark dance coming up this Friday! In honor of the holiday that is steeped in legends about gold hoarding leprechauns, and magical rainbows, I wanted to share a video that centers on the great powers that all of us average humans have within us every single day.
This video was shared in December of 2020, when we were all right in the middle of trying to navigate a weird mix of online and in-person school, having our first experiences with Zoom holiday parties, and malls that felt like what was left over after a long and hard-fought Zombie apocalypse.
Now, a fairy garden is most likely not something that is a new concept to many of us, but I would argue that the adorable and painstakingly created garden that nestled on the tiny piece of precious sidewalk and tree real estate was the creation of a child who was doing her best to have a sense of normalcy in a world where playing at parks or with friends in the house was no longer a viable option.
What inspired me most about this story is the fact that all that was needed to create magic was a little bit of imagination and a healthy dose of kindness. I am pretty sure this means that each and every one of us is always only two small steps away from being magical with no fairy dust or an expensive and lengthy magician tech school program that may or may not require a very sketchy underwater internship.
You, dear Patriots, are filled with magic!!!
Every time you send a kind text, email, or write a handwritten letter to someone, YOU make them smile. That is magic.
Every time you notice someone is sad or alone, and you offer to keep them company, YOU lift their mood. That is magic.
Every time you take the time to acknowledge someone and make them feel seen, YOU make their entire day better. That is magic.
May we take some time this week to recognize how powerful and magical we are, and then share that magic with everyone we come in contact with.
We can't wait to see you tomorrow!
As always Patriots...
You are loved!

When Patriots See Something They Say Something
Hey Patriots,
I don't know about you, but I am super exhausted from getting daily reports that there is graffiti on the bathroom stalls, writing on the lockers, and garbage shoved down the toilets. I recently had a student suggest that I enlist some anonymous student agents to help identify students engaging in the undesired behaviors. With that idea in mind, we are offering a Chick-fil-a reward to anyone that provides PROOF when students are doing very un-Patriot-like acts.
All informants will remain anonymous. The vast majority of us take care of and love our school, so let's get the few that are not showing their love appropriately on the right track so we can have a clean, safe, and beautiful school for years to come.
