Pops Concert Highlights

Last Thursday was our annual Pops Concert. This year's theme was "Pops at the Movies". Our Choir, Jr. High Band, and High School Band all performed under the direction of Mr. Norman. Travis Rubke served as the "Auctioneer" for the cake fundraiser. We raised over $1000 from Battle of the Bands and the cake auction. All proceeds support the music program at GJSHS. Thank you to all of you who came out to support our students.

IVES Field Trips

Recent field trips include the 3rd-5th grade students fishing derby and hike at Round Valley Reservoir. We also had an all-school field trip to Turtle Bay. Thank you to Parents' Club who has helped to support and fund many of our field trips this year.

Staff Feature

This week's staff feature is Mrs Emilee Schramel. "Nurse Emilee" has worked for PUSD the past 4 years serving students at both IVES and GJSHS. She became a nurse because she likes helping others, especially children and babies. She loves working in our small schools where she knows and cares about all the students and their families. Emilee grew up in Indian Valley where she attended Greenville Elementary and High School. After going to college and getting married, she and her husband Ryan moved around quite a bit while he was in the Marine Corp. They moved back to Indian Valley to raise their 4 children. We are very grateful to have Nurse Emilee on our staff. She is so wonderful with all of our students and takes great care of them!

About Us

Indian Valley Elementary School and Greenville Junior/Senior High School are in beautiful western Plumas County. We serve the students of Indian Valley, which includes the communities of Greenville, Crescent Mills, Taylorsville, and Canyon Dam. We are essentially a K-12 school since we are located on one large campus where we share several facilities.
