Her main tasks:

Clara Barton's assistances on the battle field saved many wounded and sick soldiers lifes. She categorized soldiers in three groups, those that needed tending to everyday, those that needed to be checked to see their problems, and those that weren't wounded that bad but could still use a check-up. She also changed bandages to keep wounds from getting infected, and assisted in amputations that occured very often.

Clara Barton founded Red Cross in 1881. The American Red Cross is a organization that provides emergency assistances to those in medical needs, such as soldiers that have been shot, or wounded in war.
