The Carleton Chronicle
A weekly update from Carleton Middle School
Greetings from Carleton!
Several students walked away with gift cards this week for participating in Red Ribbon Week and showing their school spirit. During all three lunches, all student names were put in an envelope and randomly chosen to win a gift card to Target, 7-11, or other local establishments. For example, if their name was chosen on Wednesday's "Team Up Against Drug" and were wearing sports apparel they came away with a few dollars to spend in their pocket.
We also hosted our first Extravaganza this week on Thursday after school. Several students commented on how great the DJ was, many students enjoyed shooting hoops in the open gym, and several more students came away with prizes from BINGO. Thank you to all who made this event a success.
Please take a moment to read Clark's Corner regarding our dress code for Halloween on Tuesday.

Clark's Corner
Hello Carleton Families,
Halloween is fast approaching and many students and parents have asked if they will be allowed to dress up for Halloween. At Carleton we will be allowing students to dress up provided that their costume is allowable within the school dress code. Below are some guidelines:
*Bare midriffs, stretch pants, exposed undergarments, etc. are not appropriate for school.
*No face paint or masks should be worn. We need to be able to identify your student.
*No props or look alike/fake weapons
*Hats, tiara's, and other head wear are permitted but students must be able to take them off in class at a teacher's request
*Costume selection should be in good taste and appropriate for school
*Creativity is encouraged
