Handcraft your own Halloween masterpiece!
The Arts Alliance welcomes local artisan Sarah Miller of MoonForest for spooky fall fun, as you create your very own mixed media Halloween shadowbox. We know it looks a wee bit more whimsical than spooky and that's just the way we like it! No need to shop at a big-box store to hunt for festive art - come make your own with at the beautiful Snyder House surrounded by autumn foliage.

After sculpting your owl from polymer clay, you will use paint, rubber stamps and tools to add your own finishing touches to a One-Of-A-Kind Halloween art piece that will become a treasured addition to your fall celebration.
Sarah Miller is the artist behind the delightful mixed media creations of MoonForest Studio.Her colorful characters fuse a modern sense of design with the charm of traditional folk art, creating a world full of wonder, color and fun.
Inspired by the magic of fairy tales and storybooks she creates her pieces using polymer clay, often incorporating found objects.Filled with vibrant color, texture and pattern, these pieces are the perfect way to add a touch of magic to your home.
Sarah works from her home studio in Cincinnati, and travels to juried art fairs throughout the region. She also teaches workshops in needle felting and mixed media for both children & adults.
Students Should Bring: [Ideal student age:18+ years]
1. A Basic Took Kit [BTK] that includes:
* An adventurous spirit!
* An Exacto knife.
* Your favorite rubber stamps to add texture and design elements [optional].
2. Materials Kit Fee of $15.00-[payable to Sarah Miller by cash/check day of the workshop]Materials Kit provided by Sarah includes:
work surface for project, polymer clay, acrylic rollers, paint, brushes, sealer & glue, and a 4X6" shadowbox for personalizing and house your Halloween Owl
On Site Lunch provided by our partner in the arts Whole Foods Market, Mason.
