Good afternoon Wildcats,

Third quarter is off to a great start. Shortly we will be preparing for the 2022-2023 school-year. Students will be choosing courses for next year and we will be hosting a virtual parent night on 2/1/22 with information about our programs and course cards. Also, don't forget next Wednesday, 2/2/22 is an early release day. Please continue to help us ensure the success of all of our students.

Virtual Curriculum and Freshman Parent Night

Welcome Incoming Freshmen!

Join us on Tuesday February 1st for our Virtual Curriculum Fair and Freshmen Parent Night for our incoming 9th grade parents and students. We will post the link on our Social Media pages, School Web Page, and our WCHS Smores. This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable information about the upcoming curriculum, programs, and everything WCHS has to offer. The link will be shared at 6:00pm and can be viewed any time after.

Testing Information Semester 2

FSA Reading and Writing Retakes will be administered between February 21 - March 11

SAT will be administered to all juniors and seniors who signed up on March 2

ACT Non-reportable will be administered to juniors and seniors on 29

FSA Spring Writing for 9th and 10th grades will be administered between April 11 - May 27

AICE General Paper will be administered to juniors on April 25 and May 2

FSA Spring Reading will be administered to 9th and 10th grades between May 2-27

AP Exams will be administered between May 2- 13

District Finals will be administered between May 9 - 25

PERT Testing for Dual Enrollment for the 22-23 Fall Semester

Students who signed up to take the PERT for Dual Enrollment will be testing Thursday 1/27/22 at 7:10AM. Please have your student report directly to the gym.

Parent Drop-off safety

Parents, we had an accident during student drop-off time this week. Our first priority is the safety of our students and the WCHS Community. Please follow the guidelines for drop-off. Also, please do not drop your student off on Wells Road as this causes a huge safety concern. Please pull as far forward as possible before stopping. Dropping off by the main office slows the line down and pushes traffic onto Wells Road. Also, please turn right out of the drop off line as this helps expedite the line. We understand that this may cause your student to walk a little further to class and it may inconvenience you to turn right, however, the safety of our students must come first. Thank you for your cooperation and patience.

Congratulations Savannah Stevens

Savannah Stevens, a student in The Academy of Digital Production at Wesley Chapel High School entered the Reflections competition sponsored for the National P.T.A. Not only did Savannah win first place at the High School Level but she also won first place at the County level and will be moving on to States with her video. There will be a Zoom Celebration for the High School winners (TBA) and there will be a County Reflections Celebration at MOSI on January 26th.

Spring Sports Paperwork and Sporting Event Tickets

Spring Sports tryouts have begun this week. All paperwork for Spring Sports will now be completed online at Athletic Clearance (https://athleticclearance.fhsaahome.org/). This can also be found on our website. If you played a Fall or Winter Sport, please log into your Athletic Clearance and add the spring sport you wish to play. Do not create a new account.


As a reminder, all tickets for sporting events must be purchased via GoFan (https://gofan.co/search and we will not accept paper tickets or screenshots. The ticket must be on your mobile device.

Senior Ads

Parents of Seniors

If you are interested in purchasing a Senior Ad for the 2022 yearbook, sales will end on January 31st OR UNTIL WE RUN OUT OF AD SPACE! We still have full page, half page, 1/4 page and 1/8 page ads available, and you can either design it yourself or have the yearbook sponsor design it for you. Senior Panorama Photo

Gigante will be on campus on Tuesday, February 15th during Homeroom to take the Senior Class Panorama (the BIG group photo). Seniors, please wear a dark blue or navy-blue shirt for the photo! This photo will be available for purchase through Gigante.

Yearbook Reminder

Students can preorder a yearbook now through the end of March. This is the only way to guarantee you get a copy, as yearbooks sell out every year. The cost is $85 and you can purchase by visiting www.yearbookforever.com or the Pasco Student Quick Pay app. Please contact Mrs. Ingram at pingram@pasco.k12.fl.us if you have any questions.

Senior Grad Bash

Senior Grad Bash tickets will be on sale next week. To purchase tickets, please see Mrs. Johnston in Room 419. Tickets are $135 and the date is April 1.

Senior Activities and Prom

This year's prom will be held Saturday, April 9th 2022 aboard the Starship Yacht. The yacht will depart from Channelside Bay Plaza, 603 Channelside Dr., Tampa, FL. Boarding will begin at 8:30PM and we will return to the dock at 11:30PM. Plan on ticket sales to begin the first week of March, more information will come in the next few issues of this newsletter.

Free School Day SAT for all JUNIORS on March 2, 2022

Save the Date: All juniors will take a college-reportable School Day SAT on March 2nd. Students will be automatically registered to take this exam which can be used for graduation testing requirements, college admissions, and Bright Futures. If students need accommodations for the exam, please fill out and return the attached form by January 10th. JR ACCOMMODATION/OPT OUT FORM

Need more customers? Advertise with WCHS! Each year thousands of people come to events on our campus and see advertisements for local businesses. This is an opportunity to get affordable advertising and help out the students of WCHS.

Banners are printed by the school using your artwork with several options:

4 x 4 full color vinyl banner will be displayed in the Gymnasium.

4 x 10 full color vinyl banner will be displayed outdoors on the fence of the field you chose.

The cost for a one year banner in the gym $400.00.

The cost of a banner on one outdoor facility is $500.00.

The cost of one year of advertising on the football/soccer/lacrosse, baseball, and softball field (3 banners) is $800.00.

The cost of all facilitites both indoor and outdoor banner (4 banners) is $1,000.00.

There term of the advertisement is one full year.
