First Day Drop Off and Campus Visitors

All families are welcome to walk their children to the classroom door on the first day of school. The campus will open to visitors from 7:15 am to 7:40 am on the first day only. Families and visitors will not be able to enter the classroom or cafeteria when other children are present.


Starting Thursday, August 19th through September 18th, families and visitors will need to check in with their ID in the office starting at 7:25 am in order to walk to classrooms. Families and visitors will not be able to enter the classroom. To ensure that all students are adequately supervised, teachers are not available for parent conferences at this time. Once instruction begins at 7:40 am, families and visitors will not be permitted to walk to classrooms unless they have a prearranged meeting with a teacher or staff member.

Car Rider Arrival and Dismissal Information

Please review the map below for the arrival and dismissal traffic flow. This traffic pattern helps to minimize the number of cars waiting on FM 1174. This year, all students will be dropped off and picked up under the pavilion. We will have staff available to assist young students with opening doors, if needed.

Join the Bertram PTO!

The Bertram Elementary PTO is looking for parent volunteers. Volunteers help in a variety of ways including:


  • PTO Board Members, who set the agenda and direction of the PTO. These are elected positions. Elections will be held soon to for a Board for the 2021-2022 school year.
  • "Room Parents" who support classroom teachers with parties and coordinate celebrating their teacher's birthday.
  • Volunteers who assist with various projects, including bulletin boards, picture day, yearbook, fundraisers, spirit wear design and sales, and more. There is something for everyone. Tell us your talents and we will match you with a need.

Serve on the Bertram Site Based Decision Making Committee!

We are looking for parents, community members, and local business owners to serve on our Site-Based Decision Making Committee. This committee meets 5 times each year for about an hour to develop, review, and revise our Campus Improvement Plan.


This year we will meet on Tuesdays from 5 pm to 6 pm on the following dates:

August 24

November 2nd

January 11th

March 8th

May 17th

Meet Your Teacher

We will host Meet the Teacher on Monday, August 16th from 4:00 pm-5:30 pm. Your teacher will call you to introduce themselves and invite you to Meet the Teacher on Friday, August 13th. Each child must have a completed registration by Thursday, August 12th to be placed on a class roster. Please be sure that your telephone number is up to date in Skyward so we can reach you.


This is a come-and-go event. Please bring your school supplies, except your backpack.

We suggest families with last names A-M attend from 4:00-4:45 pm and families with last names N-Z attend from 4:45-5:30 pm to assist with parking. If the suggested times do not meet the needs of your family, you are welcome to join the other group.

Do you need assistance providing school supplies?

BCISD is NOT providing free school supplies this year. Families are asked to purchase and bring school supplies to Meet the Teacher night on Monday, August 16th.


If your family has barriers to providing school supplies for your child, please complete this brief and confidential form to request assistance. This form is only for students attending Bertram Elementary.

Please go to www.burnetcisd.net/registration for instructions on registering for the 2021-2022 school year. Only students with completed registrations will be assigned a classroom teacher. Your child's class placement will be delayed if they do not have a completed registration.
