Third Grade Week of August 17th
By, Sister Laila & Sister Kiren
Asslam Walikum, Parents
The second week has started off on a great foot. The students have adjusted well to their schedule and routines.
Tardies
It is very crucial that children come to school on time as class starts promptly at 8:00. The drop time is between 7:30- 7:50. There will be no supervision past 8:00 in the patio area. Parents please note that students will be marked tardy after 8:05.
Homework
Homework will be assigned Monday through Thursday and students are required to bring homework the next day. Please check your child's agenda everyday to ensure they have completed all their homework. Homework will be a reinforcement of the lesson taught that day. If the child is having difficulty with any portion, please feel free to make a note of it on the homework so we can assist the student in that particular area.
ELA/Reading
The students will be bringing their yellow journal everyday in which they will be doing their spelling homework as follows:
Monday- Write each word 3 times each.
Tuesday- Write the words in Alphabetical order.
Wednesday- Spelling Sentences.
Thursday- Study for spelling test.
Friday- Spelling test.
Along with Spelling homework, they will be assigned homework from Grammar, Reading comprehension, or Phonics Workbook depending on the lesson of the day.
The students have been doing a great job in adjusting to the new school year!
