Her Story: How Women and Girls Transformed the World
A limited number of kits will be mailed to households that sign up for the The Smithsonian American Women’s History Initiative virtual workshops for children ages 3-6 and their adult companions.
"Educators from the Smithsonian will lead three different 30-minute programs that incorporate close looking at art and historical objects."
The first event of this series is March 11: Making Moves: Celebrating Black & Native Women and Girls in Skateboarding | 11:00- 11:30 a.m. EDT
Spotlight on TTSD Inclusive Preschool Program
NW Regional Education Service District highlighted a Metzger Pre-Kindergarten classroom in an article about inclusive preschools and the importance of early learning and opportunities for "all students to learn and grow together."
Support and Resources for our Community
We know that there are families in our community with loved ones in Ukraine during this time of war and we want you to know that our hearts and thoughts are with you. The following are social and emotional support resources for students and families provided by the TTSD Mental Health and Wellness Coordinator:
Children and teens are hearing about the events in Ukraine and need the guidance of adults in their home and classrooms to be able to manage their emotions in a healthy, safe, and productive way.
These resources can help adults support students during this crisis. If your student needs a type of support that is not listed here, please contact your school.
For All Ages:

Free Food Boxes for Anyone in Need
In partnership with OHA and Washington County Emergency Services, St. Anthony Catholic Church and School is distributing FREE FOOD BOXES for anyone in need.
Starting on March 2
