DISD Tuesday Tech Talk
May 24, 2016
Last Edition and So Long! : )
This will be our last edition of the DISD Tuesday Tech Talks for this year and as most of you know, I will be retiring (after 31 years as an educator) in June.
There is no way to begin to tell you how much I have enjoyed being your first Instructional Technology Specialist! You guys just blew me away with the ways in which you embraced technology integration this year. Some of you joined Twitter for the first time and became involved in our Twitter Chats, which were with some of the top tech experts in our state/country. Most of you stepped out of the box and started finding things on your own and were excited to tell me all about it. Some of you even reached out to other districts (in other towns, states and even countries!) and used Skype or Google Hangouts! Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for making me feel like I've been a part of DISD forever. I have had a ball!
Transferring Files from Your Diboll ISD Email Account to Your Personal Gmail Account
1. Create a folder within your Google Drive and drop all documents, etc. into the folder. (I called mine DISD files.)
2. Right click on the folder and click “Share.”
3. Type in your personal Gmail account under People. Make sure “Can edit” is showing. Click Send.
4. Go back to your folder. Right click on it and click “Share.” When the NEXT screen opens, click on “Shared with…..”
5. When the next screen opens, click on “Can Edit” and drop down to “Is Owner.” This will change the ownership from your Diboll ISD account to your personal Gmail account.
